Wes Shriner is a Program Manager for Microsoft IT. He currently works promoting best practices for the handling of Information assets for internal Microsoft business groups. The focus often includes an assessment based on ISO 17799 and an action plan for the business group to address the greatest concerns first. Before that he worked with IT Security at ATT Wireless & Cingular Wireless supporting Siebel, Single Sign-on tools and the Sarbanes-Oxley implementation.
Wes holds certifications as a PMP, CISSP, CIPP, and ITIL foundations courses. Wes is in the process of founding a Seattle area non-profit that teaches families how to be safe on the internet through education and awareness sessions with PTA groups. Wes' claim to fame is that he is listed in the Bungie Studios video game Halo 3 credits for his security contributions during the development life cycle.
